Rescuing at risk families and Children.
What we do:
Founded in 2003, Child Restoration is passionately committed to the rescue and restoration of families and children who are at risk of sex trafficking around the world. According to IJM.org, there are more than 12 million children trapped in slavery right now. according to anti-slavery international, This includes commercial labor, sexual exploitation, and forced marriages. According to adoptuskids.org there are currently more than 330,000 children in foster care right now. According to UNICEF 152 million children are orphans worldwide. It is our desire to do everything possible to help and love these children. We are also actively engaged in planting and supporting church plants throughout South East Asia. We currently support over 500 church planters and have established over 1000 churches. We have also committed ourselves to the task of increasing biblical literacy; translating, printing, and distributing over 40,000 copies of the New Testament in region that with no previous access to the gospel.
Our current projects are: building permanent safe homes for children born on the streets and in brothels as well as a safe home/school for tribal orphans; raising individual sponsorships for women, children, and staff in "long-term care" children's homes in Southern Asia; training foster and adoptive parents in what it means to foster and adopt and why it matters; running a Foster closet in Illinois; supporting families who may be at risk of being separated and working to help keep them together. We long to build a community of love, hope, and spiritual support for those in need, whether it be spiritual and trauma counseling or teaching vocational skills in order to see each child fulfill the call of God on their lives.
